Work wasn't much fun, resolving issues that cropped up following our recent release. Most were fixed or ameliorated but some will require quite a bit of work/thinking later.
After getting most of it under control I ducked out early (as previously arranged) to see Cannibal! The Musical at the St. Anthony Main theater. I figured this showing wouldn't be too well attended but there were only four other people there. The print was in okay shape except for a few obvious glitches from splicing or something. Right at the end of the movie (God Bless Us, Everyone) the film got stuck and melted. After it became obvious no one was paying any attention to it I went and notified the concession folk and left. (I watched the last little bit after I got home tonight, there really wasn't much left.)
monstersocks and I went to the Liz Phair show at First Ave tonight. It was really good but way too short (maybe an hour and fifteen minutes or so.) She played plenty of old stuff along with a few new songs. There was one particularly drunk/dumb/uncouth fellow behind us who alternated shouting "Sell Out!", "Show Your Tits!" and "I Love You Liz" towards the end of the evening. I think I first saw her play at First Ave in the Spring of '94 (or maybe it was '95.)
Grilling, The Fair and Imax Matrix coming up this weekend.
