My memory? Live the freedom's time!

Finally made it to the gym tonight for the first time in a week and a half (damn cold). Didn't do a significant workout but somethings a lot better than nothing.

I keep thinking of things I should write here and then don't. My stupid TiVo managed to fail to record the animated Star Wars short tonight so I'm going to just give up on the 5 minute bits and watch them on the 21st when they show all of them.

monstersocks and I went to Vincent for dinner on Saturday. It was a really great meal. I had the following:
  • Duck Gizzards "Confit", Smoked Mashed Potatoes, Pomegranate Braised Endive
  • Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Cipollini Onions, Chorizo Wrapped Enoki Mushrooms, Yellow Grits and Roasted Onion Jus
  • Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate

monstersocks wanted me to post the definition of "Gizzard":
A modified muscular pouch behind the stomach in the alimentary canal of birds, having a thick lining and often containing ingested grit that aids in the breakdown of seeds before digestion.

The gizzards were actually pretty good. I was a bit surprised that they were shaped kind of like grapes. Meaty, meaty grapes.

We may go back next month for monstersocks' birthday and get a slightly vegetarian version of the tasting menu.

I haven't made it out to see the new Matrix movie yet. Reviews don't seem very positive but I still want to see it. Unfortunately the zoo isn't showing it yet.

Lately I've been playing Saint's Row 2 for the 360. I was a bit hesitant to get into the Saint's Row series since it seemed like a cheap GTA…
