Well, I stopped off this morning at my new voting place and voted. It seemed a lot more active than the old place with some younger people working. I'm not sure if this was due to redistricting or what. The new place is really close to my apartment, but I have to go around the train tracks to get there (it's on Energy Park Drive).
If you haven't voted yet, go do it.
I finally got around to calling Apple to get my iBook power adapter replaced with two days to spare. (I bought the iBook in early November of 2001, I just forgot how early.)
Quite a while ago the amber light that comes on while it's charging stopped coming on so it was just always green. It still works fine, but it's a lot nicer to be able to tell when it's charged without having to open it up or turn it on.
It actually didn't take very long. A couple of minutes on hold, some brief troubleshooting, a couple more minutes on hold and then they took my info to send me a brand new adapter (and I'll have to ship back my current one.) Hopefully this will fix the problem.
They tried to sell me the extended warranty coverage, but it didn't seem to make much sense. I've got an extended warranty from my credit card already and even if I didn't spending several hundred dollars to protect something that can be replaced with something better for $1300 (if the rumors are true) doesn't make a lot of sense.
iSync is still really cool.
