Halloween 2008- Captain Hammer

Back in the swing of things

I think I'm finally building some cleaning momentum. I spent some time breaking down old boxes for recycling last night and cleared out several nests of papers that needed to be filed. I also moved some old files out of my filing cabinet and into bins (which I'll need to find a good place for soon). I think it's been quite a few months since I last saw the top of my scanner. Things will be much better if I can find a place to put everything instead of having piles of stuff that don't have places to go which then become bins of stuff that need to be sorted which then get shoved in a closet or have a sheet draped over them so they become lumpy tables.

The paper brought another reason to hold off on buying a new car for a while. Apparently they're considering sales tax exemption for hybrid vehicles from 2004/07/01 to 2008/06/30. That along with the minor hybrid tax deduction would help a little (I always remember the tax deduction being more than it actually is, I think the sales tax exemption might help even more than the tax deduction).

I skipped out on the gym tonight. The weather was so nice I decided to walk around Como Lake a few times. It was pretty dark by the time I was done but it's a nice change of pace from the gym.
