I tried to watch the debate, but I just couldn't do it. Palin seemed more capable of creating sentences out of words than her recent interviews would suggest, but that's really not saying much. If I think about it too much I'm really depressed that the race is close at all at this point.
Anyway, work has been occupying most of my time of late. Several projects that just keep growing and consuming more and more of my time.
I've been enjoying the new Wipeout HD
recently. I played a bit online with an old friend from high school. I beat him in the first race, but I didn't do so well after that. I had a headset so I could talk to him but he couldn't get his working. Online is more fun with folks you know.
Our grocery shopping trip tonight turned out a little more exciting than we would have liked. As we were leaving we stopped at the light turning left onto Ford Parkway. The car next to us was planning on turning right. He looked left, then went for it, not noticing the couple walking a dog (with a walk signal) to his right. We heard a scream and saw the people drop. Once the light changed we circled back into the parking lot again to see if we could do anything to help. It turned out the woman and dog were okay but the man had his foot run over. We stuck around for a while in case we were needed, and gave the woman my name and phone number so she could call us if she needed us (witnesses, etc). I also gave a brief statement to the police but they didn't bother getting any contact information from me. Some other people had gone down the street to the urgent care clinic and picked up a wheelchair which was used to take the guy to the clinic.
