I spent some time today fuming at some especially brain damaged code written long ago by consultants that was poorly written, used really great variable names, returned redundant data, it was just a mess. I spent some time beating it into shape, then realized that I was actually looking at an old version of the routine that was kept around for no damn good reason.

So, I sent off an email asking which routines we were still using and proceeded to start beating those into shape.

I should probably go home soon.
