Everything must go

Halloween 2008- Captain Hammer
The cleaning momentum has failed to be recovered. Not much done on the cleaning front this week aside from reading a few magazines and getting them filed away (because it's desperately important that I keep almost seven years of computer magazines at work).

I meant to leave work at a reasonable hour yesterday but got caught in a kind of interesting piece of code at work and didn't leave until well after 7pm which meant I got to the gym later than usual and didn't get home until after 9pm and had the energy to eat some pizza and watch some tv and read some magazines and that was about it. Maybe I'll try and figure out some goal for this week like cleaning out the piles of unread magazines in one of my bookshelves or plowing through some of the bins of "stuff that's so important I need to keep it on this flat surface but now the surface is too cluttered so I'll just put this in a bit for a little while and sort through it real soon now I promise even though I know it'll just sit there unexamined for a long time."

As of this morning I've lost as much weight as my doctor wanted me to lose (actually one pound more). I was also supposed to go back and get my cholesterol checked again six months after that appointment which was now about a year and a half ago. I should try and schedule another checkup sometime soon but I'm very good at procrastinating with that kind of thing (most of the phone jacks in my apartment have stopped working but I haven't gotten around to calling Qwest yet, maybe I'll do that tonight.)

I still don't have a new laptop. I'm going to try and wait for the next round of updates but I'm generally not very good at waiting.

California Pizza Kitchen's Roasted Garlic Chicken pizza is really good.

I think you need to call Qwest during the day if you actually want to talk to anyone.

I just submitted a problem report on their website so we'll see how that works.

>it's desperately important that I keep almost seven years of computer magazines at work

really? Damn, I hope you're being sarcastic.

Congratulations about the weight. Good for you. Though, I hear you can call for an appointment even from a cell phone.

I'm being sarcastic but I do in fact have seven year old copies of MacUser at work (along with fairly complete runs of MacWorld and MacAddict back that far).

Thanks. The phone comment was more to explain how much I tend to procrastinate.
